For over 7 years, LaTosha Davis has been an acclaimed advocate in the career coaching space. Known for her stellar work as The Confident Black Girl, she has been a trusted and sought-after contributor to the empowerment of the Black community through Business Besties and Friends Networking Happy Hours, one-on-one and group-led confidence-building, events and self-love workshops.
“The Confident Black Girl was born from wanting to speak with women who wanted more out of their lives but did not know where to start just like me. I wanted to give them the real blueprint, show what it took and that it is also possible to be the confident black girl and have the life you want.”
The Confident Black Girl was conceptualized from a place of love and empowerment and these tenets thread themselves throughout all aspects of its philosophy. Black women deserve sisterhood, friendship, and the ability to live out loud and freely take up space as we see fit. The negative connotations of labels like the “angry Black woman,” or being “too loud,” or “aggressive” are meant to silence us and keep us small and LaTosha is helping women say NO MORE. The Confident Black Girl is here to empower Black women to live in the fullness of their experiences in all facets of their lives. Every journey starts with making that first step and LaTosha is making her life’s mission to guide Black women on their path to becoming their own unique version of confident, beautiful, and capable Black woman.

Why I became a coach
MY STORY
I take full-body pictures because I am connected to what I see in the mirror. A mirror will reflect back on what we feel about ourselves. I practice mirror work to make sure that I have a realistic idea of what I look like, what I represent, and all angles of my body. Often I am naked in the mirror taking in the wonder that God created. I love every dimple, every roll, every mole, my thick thighs, my fupa, my lips, my skin, my arms, my legs. Standing in the mirror loving all that I am empowers me to be comfortable in my skin! I am The Confident Black Girl I validate me! I show myself approved! My body is a temple created by God and it is good in all its splendor at any weight, at any state! My body is beautiful so I take mirror selfies in celebration of this beautiful thing that is me!
